A study of "The Kiss"

An oil painting study of "The Kiss", after painter Gustav Klimt.

Through this completed master copy painting study of The Kiss by Gustav Klimt, I expanded my knowledge of brushwork, color palette, and composition. I was able to closely examine his unique style of painting in which he uses gold leaf, intricate patterns, and the layering of paints.
